In general, homeopathic medicines (HM-DIN) follow the same labelling requirements as Natural Health Products (NHP) with a few exceptions:
- Statement of recommendation for Use of Purpose is not permitted for Non-specific claim homeopathics.
- Risk Statement to the effect of, “If symptoms persist or worsen, consult and health care practitioner” and “If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a health care practitioner prior to use”.
As per Canadian labelling laws, homeopathic medicine labels must be bilingual (ie. both in English and in French as both languages are considered official in Canada).
